He went on to pursue microbiology at a Big Ten university and later completed doctoral studies in Texas. His illustrious career as a college professor spanned Missouri, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Virginia, where he now resides. During his academic tenure, he authored numerous research articles, reviews, book chapters, and a scientific book, showcasing his deep analytical and explanatory skills.

He continues to enjoy a wide range of genres, including horror, science fiction, fantasy, and crime thrillers.

In 2025, John completed his gripping debut novel, Enter Infernum, quickly followed by Infernum Found. He is currently immersed in writing the third installment, Infernum Falls, alongside several captivating short stories.
